Complete documentation for using LotPixel Hub.

1. Logging In and Accessing Your Account

When you open LotPixel Hub, you are not redirected automatically. You must click the Login button inside the Hub.

After clicking Login, the Hub redirects you to the LotPixel website where you can sign in using one of the following methods:

  • Email + Password
  • Google Login
  • Facebook Login

Once the login process is completed on the website, the Hub recognizes your session and automatically loads your:

  • Account details
  • Subscription status
  • Access permissions

2. Automatic & Manual Updates

When a new update is released, a popup notification will appear when you launch LotPixel Hub.

  • If the update is critical, it must be installed and cannot be skipped.
  • If the update is optional, you may choose to skip it.

Manual Update

To update manually:

  1. Open the Microsoft Store application.
  2. Click Downloads in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Click Get Updates to check for the latest version.

Even if you do not open LotPixel Hub, the Microsoft Store may update the application automatically in the background as part of Windows' scheduled updates.

3. Download Settings (Textures & 3D Models)

3.1 Texture Download Settings

In the Download Settings panel, all texture map options are enabled by default. However, not every product contains all texture maps, so the Hub only downloads maps that exist for that specific asset.

Available map options:

  • Albedo.jpg
  • Metallic.jpg
  • Normal.jpg
  • Diffuse.jpg
  • Specular.jpg
  • Mask.jpg
  • Roughness.jpg
  • Ambient Occlusion.jpg
  • Displacement.jpg
  • Displacement.exr
  • Glossiness.jpg
  • Opacity.jpg
  • Emissive.jpg

3.2 3D Model Download Settings

You can configure which model versions will be downloaded:

Model Variants

  • HighPoly
  • LOD0
  • LOD1
  • LOD2
  • LOD3
  • LOD4
  • LOD5

(All are enabled by default, but the Hub only downloads the LODs actually available for that product.)

Model Type

Choose the format:

  • FBX
  • OBJ

The Hub downloads the model using this selected format.

4. Import Settings (Textures, Decals & 3D Models)

LotPixel Hub allows importing assets directly into supported DCC applications.

Currently supported applications:

  • Blender
  • 3ds Max (Arnold, V-Ray, Corona)

Assets are imported into the software selected in Import SettingsImport to application inside LotPixel Hub.

By default, the asset will be imported into the application that was last selected as the import to application.

You can change the target application at any time when clicking the Import button.

4.1 Texture & Decal Import Settings

You can choose which maps will be imported into the supported application.

Available maps:

  • Albedo.jpg
  • Roughness.jpg
  • Metallic.jpg
  • Ambient Occlusion.jpg
  • Normal.jpg
  • Displacement (JPG or EXR)
  • Diffuse.jpg
  • Glossiness.jpg
  • Specular.jpg
  • Opacity.jpg
  • Mask.jpg
  • Emissive.jpg

The plugin automatically builds the material network depending on the application and render engine.

4.2 3D Model Import Settings

Only one model variant can be imported at a time:

  • HighPoly
  • LOD0
  • LOD1
  • LOD2
  • LOD3
  • LOD4
  • LOD5

Model Type for Import

  • FBX (recommended)
  • OBJ

The selected format will be used during import.

5. Global Settings Behavior (Download & Import)

All settings in the Download and Import sections are persistent. This means:

  • You only need to configure these settings once
  • LotPixel Hub will remember your choices
  • All future downloads and imports will follow the same configuration automatically

You do not need to reselect maps, LODs, or formats every time you download or import a product. If you want to change your workflow later, simply update the settings and the new configuration will be applied going forward.

6. Asset Page Navigation

On each asset page you can:

  • View previews
  • Download assets
  • Import them directly into Blender or 3ds Max
  • Open the local folder using Open Folder
  • Copy the asset page link using Copy Asset Link

7. Left Sidebar Categories

The LotPixel Hub includes three main library categories in the left sidebar. These categories help you browse the entire asset library more efficiently.

7.1 All Assets

All Assets shows every asset available in your LotPixel account, including:

  • Textures
  • 3D Models
  • Decals

This section represents the full online library, based on your subscription and purchased access. Assets appear here even if they have not been downloaded yet.

7.2 Purchased

Purchased displays only the assets that belong to your account:

  • Individually purchased products
  • Subscription-based accessible assets
  • Any item licensed directly to your account

Free assets that you have not downloaded or do not own under your subscription will not appear here.

7.3 Local

Local shows all LotPixel assets that have been downloaded to your computer. This includes:

  • LotPixel textures
  • LotPixel 3D models
  • LotPixel decals

The Local section does not allow offline usage. It only lists the LotPixel products that physically exist in your LotPixel Hub folder.

8. Default Folder Structure

LotPixel Hub stores all downloaded and configuration files under your Documents folder:

Documents/
   LotPixel Hub/
      3DModel/
      Decal/
      Texture/
      logs/
      auth.json
      settings.json

auth.json → Stores your authentication token

settings.json → Stores all download & import configuration options

9. Hub Behavior

  • The Hub does not auto-launch with your computer.
  • Internet is required for login and accessing asset information.
  • After login, downloads and imports operate locally through the Hub.
